Rabanne and H&M Sparkle with Shimmering Sequin Collaboration

Discover the dazzling collaboration between Rabanne and H&M, featuring fashion, home decor, and an abundance of sequins. Explore the exclusive capsule collection available online and in select H&M stores from November 9.

This fall, Paco Rabanne’s eponymous label is making headlines with its latest collaboration, bringing together the iconic brand and fashion giant H&M. The result? A stunning collection that celebrates high fashion, home decor, and the unmistakable allure of Rabanne’s signature sequins.

The eagerly anticipated capsule collection is set to debut globally on November 9, available both online and in handpicked H&M stores. This remarkable collaboration, characterized by its unapologetic hedonistic spirit, is a creative fusion between Julien Dossena, the visionary behind Rabanne for the past decade, and Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s head of design and creative director.

A select group of influencers, artists, and fashion insiders were treated to an exclusive preview of these ready-to-wear pieces at a glamorous soirée hosted on October 2 at Silencio. This upscale nightclub, designed by the renowned filmmaker David Lynch, provided the perfect backdrop to unveil a collection that shimmers and sparkles with sequins and glitter.

Among the notable attendees were international icons such as Cher, Elle Fanning, Jared Leto, Irina Shayk, Tina Kunakey, and Peggy Gou, all showcasing the sophisticated capsule. The collection includes opulent long gowns adorned with golden and silver sequins, sportswear-inspired ensembles, and stylish navy blue military coats. Accessories also take center stage, with a fresh reinterpretation of Rabanne’s iconic shoulder bag, adding a touch of elegance to the lineup.

H&M, known for its trailblazing collaborations since its groundbreaking partnership with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004, continues to push the boundaries. They’ve joined forces with fashion powerhouses like Mugler, Balmain, Stella McCartney, Versace, and emerging designers from the upcycling collective Revibe. H&M’s mission is to democratize luxury fashion by making it accessible through products co-designed by industry luminaries.

Following a similar strategy, the house of Rabanne (formerly Paco Rabanne until June 2023) has forged alliances with international heavyweights, including H&M this fall and Germany’s Zalando in April.

This strategic approach allows Rabanne to merge its couture heritage with the e-commerce expertise of online fashion leaders, offering a seamless shopping experience. H&M and Zalando, ranking fourth and fifth respectively on Kantar’s e-commerce fashion barometer in France for the first half of 2023, underscore the success of this approach.

This collaboration not only elevates the Rabanne brand but also opens doors to a broader audience, making high fashion more accessible to a younger demographic and budget-conscious consumers.
