Nina Ricci signs Edwin Bodson from JW Anderson

The big maneuvers begin at Nina Ricci. After losing its CEO, Charlotte Tasset, who since January has been in charge of the French brand Maje, the Parisian fashion house, owned by the Spanish group Puig, may have found in Edwin Bodson its new CEO.

According to the American magazine WWD, the executive, who works at JW Anderson as global sales director, is about to be appointed CEO of the French luxury house. Nina Ricci has not confirmed the information, but according to our information, Edwin Bodson would indeed have joined the brand.

Before joining JW Anderson at the end of 2019, Edwin Bodson was CEO of Alexa Chung’s ready-to-wear brand for almost four years. Before that, he was director of Haider Ackermann’s ateliers.

Nina Ricci is undergoing a major reorganization. In addition to its CEO, the house also lost its artistic directors Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh earlier this year. The Dutch duo had been appointed by Charlotte Tasset in 2018. Completely unknown at the time, they had just won the Grand Prix at the Hyères Festival with their men’s label Botter.

In just a few seasons, the designers managed to breathe new energy into Nina Ricci with a contemporary and rejuvenated wardrobe tinged with elegance, while the brand was repositioning itself from a very high-end house to a more accessible luxury and highly digitized sales model.
