Lululemon Names Jonathan Cheung as Global Creative Director A Visionary Addition

Lululemon makes a strategic move by appointing Jonathan Cheung as its Global Creative Director, signaling a significant shift in the brand’s creative leadership.

In this pivotal role, Cheung will lead Lululemon’s global design team, reporting directly to Chief Product Officer, Sun Choe. His primary focus will be shaping the brand’s worldwide creative strategy, emphasizing a visionary approach to product design.

With an impressive 30-year track record in creative and business leadership, Cheung brings extensive expertise, having recently consulted with renowned brands such as Gap, Merrell, and Pangaia. His prior role as Senior Vice President of Design and Design Innovation at Levi’s adds a distinguished layer to his credentials. Cheung takes the reins following the passing of Phil Dickinson.

Concurrently, Lululemon introduces JJ Collier to the newly established role of Vice President of Design for Outerwear. Reporting to Cheung, Collier will oversee the men’s and women’s outerwear teams, driving guest-centric category innovations across both performance and casual assortments.

Collier, with a 20-year career, recently founded and led the design consultancy Collier Brands. His diverse experience includes senior design roles in the UK and France at notable companies such as Salomon, Ralph Lauren, and Spyder Active Sports. He notably served as the Senior Director of Apparel Innovation Concepts at VF Corp, playing a pivotal role in advancing sustainable design practices.

Lululemon anticipates the dynamic influence of Cheung and Collier, shaping the brand’s creative narrative and innovative design direction.
