In a significant stride, global beauty titan Coty is gearing up to strengthen its footprint in the Indian market, focusing on amplifying its ‘Prestige’ and ‘Consumer Beauty’ business arms. This dynamic expansion involves key investments, the introduction of a talented team, the establishment of office premises, and a pivotal collaboration with renowned distribution and marketing authority, House of Beauty.

Leading this strategic initiative is Rizwan Mulla, recently appointed as Business Development Director for India. Boasting over 25 years of experience in operational management and marketing, Mulla is set to spearhead Coty’s growth in the region from the vibrant hub of Mumbai.

Kristina Strunz, Managing Director of Coty Southeast Asia and India, highlighted India’s meteoric rise in Prestige Beauty over the past five years. Recognizing India as a vital long-term growth hub in Asia, Coty is committing significant resources to bolster its operations in the Indian beauty market.

Coty, recognized for retailing premium brands like Gucci Beauty, Burberry Beauty, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, and fragrances such as Davidoff, Rimmel, MaxFactor, and Adidas, reported an impressive 65% growth in the 2023 financial year, with a bullish outlook for continued success.

In a groundbreaking move, Coty has inked a strategic distribution agreement with House of Beauty at Quest Retail to introduce Kylie Cosmetics to the Indian market. This collaboration aims not only to introduce the renowned brand but also to cultivate a robust consumer base through a meticulously planned retail marketing program.

Shriti Malhotra, Group CEO of Quest Retail – House of Beauty, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, underscoring House of Beauty’s success in scaling premium global beauty brands. Sanjali Giri, VP – International Brand Distribution at House of Beauty, is pivotal to this success, and together with Coty, they are poised to meet the surging demand for quality makeup, innovation, and immersive marketing activations from international beauty lifestyle brands across India.
