Romain Carrere Appointed CEO of Aura Blockchain Consortium
Aura Blockchain Consortium, a leading global blockchain platform, has announced the appointment of Romain Carrere as its new CEO and General Secretary. Carrere, an experienced tech entrepreneur with over 15 years in the industry, will succeed Daniela Ott, who served in the role for two years.
Founded in 2021 by luxury industry leaders, including LVMH, Prada Group, Cartier (part of Richemont), and OTB Group, Aura Blockchain Consortium has been at the forefront of transforming the luxury sector with blockchain technology. In 2022, it expanded its membership to include Mercedes-Benz Group and associate members like H.Moser & Cie. and Maison Margiela.
The consortium is dedicated to revolutionizing the luxury industry through blockchain solutions, offering member brands a suite of innovative tools, such as SaaS, NFTs, and the Multi-Token Minter, enabling comprehensive product lifecycle management, from origin to direct-to-consumer.
Romain Carrere expressed his excitement about joining the consortium during this pivotal phase and recognized its visionary approach, fostering collaboration among industry leaders. He aims to drive blockchain adoption and enhance the luxury customer experience.
With a career in the tech industry, Carrere has advised web3 start-ups and provided strategic guidance to corporations exploring blockchain, NFTs, and the metaverse.
