Officine Générale, the acclaimed French fashion brand, celebrates the opening of its second New York City store at 849 Madison Avenue

Boasting 1,100 square feet of curated elegance, this boutique reflects the sophisticated ambiance synonymous with Officine Générale’s global presence. Designed by founder Pierre Mahéo and Nina Haverkamp, in collaboration with architect Juliette Rubel, the store showcases a carefully selected array of vintage furniture, including a black linear Trapeze table by Jean Prouvé and unique wooden chairs with a captivating patina.

The bespoke nature of the store is accentuated by locally crafted racks and shelving units in hammered steel and oak wood. The interior features artwork by Michaël Schouflikir, wood and stone sculptures, and vintage potteries, creating a personalized atmosphere. The Madison Avenue location offers an extensive collection of men’s and women’s fashion, including the exclusive Daily Classics line, available only in Officine Générale stores.

Pierre Mahéo expresses enthusiasm about expanding the brand’s U.S. presence, particularly in the iconic Madison Avenue location. Following the success of the SoHo store, this uptown addition aligns with Mahéo’s vision for strategic expansion. The Madison Avenue store joins Officine Générale’s global portfolio, which includes locations in Paris, London, Lyon, and Aix-en-Provence. As the brand’s largest market outside of France, the expansion into key U.S. locations reflects Officine Générale’s commitment to delivering its unique vision to a broader audience. The Madison Avenue store is a testament to the brand’s evolution while maintaining its distinctive identity.
