The 58 players participating in the NFL virtual draft from their homes this year must adhere to specific fashion guidelines. These rules are in place to ensure a consistent and brand-friendly appearance during the three-day draft, which commences on Thursday.

Traditionally, players dress in suits when meeting Commissioner Roger Goodell at the podium on draft night. However, this year, attire is subject to strict regulations.

The memo outlining these guidelines clearly states that players cannot wear logos that do not belong to the NFL’s official partners. These partners include Nike, Adidas, UnderArmour, and New Era. Additionally, players are not allowed to display logos from non-NFL leagues or organizations.

Clothing worn during the virtual draft must adhere to the following criteria:

  1. No Explicit Language or Slurs: Attire must not contain explicit language or slurs related to race, ethnicity, or religion.
  2. No Disparagement of the NFL: Clothing should not disparage or criticize the NFL.
  3. No Violent or Explicit Content: Attire must not depict violent or sexually explicit content.
  4. No Political Statements: Political statements on clothing are prohibited.
  5. No References to Restricted Substances: Clothing cannot reference tobacco, drugs, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, energy drinks, nutritional substances, or gambling.
  6. No Promotion of Objectionable Content: Highlighting video games or media that promote objectionable content is not allowed.

To maintain consistency, participants in the virtual draft will receive welcome kits from the NFL. These kits include items from league partners, including products from PepsiCo and Mars candy. This ensures that at-home draft parties align with the established guidelines.

In summary, the NFL virtual draft participants are expected to follow these fashion guidelines to create a unified and brand-friendly presentation during the event.
