Myth.AI, the London-based AI pattern design tool start-up, has secured a significant €1.2 million (£1.03 million) in funding to drive operations and explore new markets. Originally founded in Turkey, Myth.AI transitioned to London earlier this year and plans to utilize the funding to expand its operations domestically, with a focus on new markets, including Asia and the US in the coming year, according to EU Start-ups.
Originally developed to support founder and CEO Özgecan Üstgül’s high-end fashion line, Women & Women, Myth.AI now offers a generative AI solution. This solution uses visual or text prompts to streamline the design of unique patterns for brands across Europe. The technology not only significantly reduces the time needed for bespoke designs but also contributes to a more sustainable design and production process by minimizing the need for swatch samples, thereby reducing environmental impact.
Üstgül expressed excitement about the investment round, calling it a pivotal moment for Myth.AI’s journey beyond textile and interior pattern tech. Already making waves in the European textile design industry, Myth.AI has garnered support from brands such as Ratti (Italy), Telater (Spain), Sun Textile, Elyaf Textile, Gama Textile, Zorlu Textile, and Halmer Fabric (Turkey).
Key investors, including the founders of Turkish textiles firm Faik Ulutas, have shown confidence and excitement about Myth.AI’s innovative contributions to the evolving landscape of pattern design technology.
