Italian luxury powerhouse Tod’s welcomes Matteo Tamburini as the creative director for women’s and men’s collections. Announced by Tod’s Group CEO Diego Della Valle, Tamburini, a seasoned talent with experiences at Rochas, Schiaparelli, Emilio Pucci, and Bottega Veneta, is set to debut his vision with the Tod’s AW24/25 collection at Milan Fashion Week in February.
Della Valle expresses confidence, describing Tamburini as a «talented creative» with a «modern vision of high quality and Italian lifestyle,» anticipating added value to the brand. Tamburini, excited to contribute his expertise, emphasizes his close identification with Tod’s values.
Aged 40, Tamburini’s extensive luxury sector experience, notably at Bottega Veneta since 2017, positions him as a key figure. His leadership is expected to shape a team aligning with Tod’s commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and style.
This appointment follows Walter Chiapponi’s departure, Tod’s previous creative chief who joined Blumarine. Tod’s Group reported a notable 14.3% sales increase in the first nine months, with strong European performance offsetting a temporary slowdown in China during Q3. The growth extends across all group brands, indicating robust demand domestically and internationally.
