This collaboration aims to support emerging talents while emphasizing sustainability and circular fashion principles.
This marks H&M’s second year of supporting this initiative, which seeks to empower the next generation of fashion leaders. The grants, totaling £16,000, will be shared among four winners: three from the BA Fashion Design course and one from the BA Fashion Communication Journalism course. In addition to financial support, recipients will gain visibility and networking opportunities.
Henrik Nordvall, Country Manager for H&M UK & Ireland, emphasized that these grants will be awarded based on factors such as academic merit, financial need, and a strong commitment to sustainability. The goal is to foster inclusivity and accessibility in the fashion industry for emerging talents.
The selection panel will include course leaders from Central Saint Martins and senior leaders from H&M’s Design Team. Applications will open in October, and the winners will be announced in April 2024. This partnership reflects H&M’s dedication to nurturing young talents and promoting sustainability in the fashion world.
