Esprit, the prominent fashion brand, strengthens its executive team with the appointment of Konstantinos Balogiannis as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Managing Director for Europe & Global Business Development. Balogiannis, a seasoned professional in the fashion industry, officially joined Esprit in November, signaling a strategic move to lead the brand’s turnaround efforts and international expansion.
Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Balogiannis expressed his dedication to contributing to Esprit’s new elevated global strategy. With a background encompassing roles at German outdoor apparel brand Bogner and German fashion retailer Tom Tailor, Balogiannis brings a wealth of experience, particularly in international sales and business development.
Esprit, headquartered in Hong Kong and listed on the local stock exchange, is currently undergoing a transformation under the leadership of William Pak. The brand’s strategy involves a renewed focus on its Californian roots and elevating select product lines to a more upscale segment, a vision outlined by Pak in a recent interview with FashionNetwork.com in Paris.
While Esprit reported a 17% revenue shortfall in H1 2023, the brand remains optimistic about the future, buoyed by its revitalized global strategy and the addition of Balogiannis to its leadership team.
