Chanel has proudly announced the appointment of American actress, director, and producer Riley Keough as its newest House ambassador. This move aligns with Chanel’s strategy under creative director Virginie Viard, focusing on selecting multi-talented, indie, and edgy creatives to represent the brand’s elegance.
Riley Keough, the granddaughter of music icon Elvis Presley, will take center stage in Chanel’s campaign for the Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection by Virginie Viard.
Keough’s versatile career includes her recent standout role in Amazon’s «Daisy Jones and the Six,» where she earned an Emmy Award nomination for her portrayal of a singer in an overnight-successful rock band. She has also received acclaim for her performances in youth-driven films like «Zola» and «American Honey,» with the latter earning an Independent Spirit Award nomination.
At the age of 34, Keough is not only an accomplished actress but also a co-founder of the production company Felix Culpa. Chanel highlights the company’s dedication to telling bold, boundary-pushing, and emotionally rich stories that challenge audiences’ perspectives and amplify voices that deserve to be heard.
Keough’s talents extend beyond acting as she made her directorial debut with the critically acclaimed «War Pony.» This gritty coming-of-age tale set on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota earned her the Camera D’Or award at Cannes and the status of a New York Times Critic’s Pick.
Notably, Keough has been a regular wearer of Chanel for over a decade. She graced Chanel’s March 2023 show on the banks of the Seine in an aubergine velour pantsuit and donned a white wool bouclé redingote at the recent show in the Grand Palais Ephemère.
