Arts Thread and Gucci Unveil Global Design Graduate Show 2023 Winners

Arts Thread, a digital platform, and the esteemed luxury fashion house Gucci have announced the triumphant participants of the Global Design Graduate Show 2023.

This fourth edition of the event witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 5,823 students presenting their outstanding work across various categories, including Fashion, Accessories, Textiles, Fine Art, Photography, Craft, Digital, Visual Communication, Film, and Product Design, Architecture, and Interiors. This year’s submissions surpassed previous records, underscoring the exceptional talent of emerging designers.

The judging panel, consisting of 175 industry experts, carefully evaluated the submissions. Additionally, a public vote engaged 211,742 supporters, enabling them to select their favorite works.

In the Fashion Communication category, Carolina Trinker from Parsons School of Design in the United States emerged as the winner.

Jeongho Hwang from Istituto Marangoni Milan was the public vote winner in the Fashion, Accessories, and Textiles category.

All winners will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a virtual gallery hosted by Google Arts & Culture. This collaboration expands the reach of students’ work, providing them with exposure that can potentially support the launch of their independent businesses or career opportunities in the creative industries.

Over the past four years, Arts Thread noted that hundreds of graduates have secured employment or established their own brands, making this initiative the largest online platform for showcasing graduating artists and designers worldwide.

The Global Design Graduate Show is set to return in 2024 for students graduating in the year 2023-2024.
