The appointment of Abergel as Global Chief Digital Officer in February 2022 marked a pivotal moment in Sephora’s digital journey. Now, with Anca Marola at the helm, renowned for her leadership in the LVMH data center of excellence, the focus turns to fortifying the internal digital community, driving value creation through an ambitious data strategy, and enhancing the omnichannel experience for customers.

Anca Marola’s career journey commenced in 2012, where she delved into consulting and consumer studies at GFK, collaborating with notable groups like L’Oréal and Coca-Cola. Joining LVMH in June 2013, she entered the digital department, contributing to the digital transformation of various houses within the group. Her responsibilities expanded over time, encompassing business intelligence and customer experience, culminating in her role as the Head of Data for the LVMH group in October 2021.
In her pivotal role as Head of Data, Marola played a key role in consolidating the group’s data strategy, implementing analytics and artificial intelligence across the value chain, spanning media, e-commerce, retail, and the supply chain.
As reports from 2022 reveal Sephora’s impressive turnover of 12 billion euros, securing its position as the second-largest brand in LVMH’s portfolio, Anca Marola’s appointment signals a strategic move towards digital excellence in the competitive landscape.
