Discover the latest in the fragrance industry as Alessandro Trotta takes the helm as Chief Financial Officer at Interparfums, the renowned French specialist in licensed fragrances. Reporting directly to Philippe Santi, the group’s Chief Operating Officer, Trotta brings a wealth of experience to this key role.
A graduate of Bocconi University in Milan, Trotta embarked on his beauty sector journey in 2002 with Beauté Prestige International. Starting as the Financial Director of the Italian subsidiary, he later transitioned to the Paris headquarters, ultimately becoming the Group Financial Director.
Trotta’s extensive background includes a stint as CFO of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region at Japanese cosmetics group Shiseido in 2018. In 2021, he joined fragrance brand Byredo, now under the ownership of the Catalan group Puig since May 2022, serving as Director of Operations, overseeing finance and operations.
As Interparfums’ new CFO, Trotta takes the reins of the finance division for all entities within the group. His oversight includes critical areas such as accounting, consolidation, management control, internal control, and taxation.
Interparfums, home to licenses such as MontBlanc, Jimmy Choo, and Coach, achieved a remarkable 19% sales increase to 610.7 million euros in the first nine months of the 2023 fiscal year. With a target turnover of 800 million euros for the fiscal year, Interparfums continues to be a key player in the industry.
