Wolverine World Wide, a prominent player in the U.S. footwear and apparel sector, takes a significant step in its consumer-centric growth strategy by appointing Bishu Jayaram as the inaugural Chief Supply Chain Officer. This newly-established role will see Jayaram leading global sourcing, distribution, logistics, and integrated planning, aligning with Wolverine’s vision to transform into a consumer-focused growth powerhouse.
With a robust background spanning over 20 years in supply chain and sourcing roles, Jayaram served as Senior Vice President of Global Sourcing at Wolverine Worldwide for the past two years. His leadership played a crucial role in steering sourcing activities across the company’s diverse brand portfolio.
Before his tenure at Wolverine, Jayaram spent six impactful years at VF Corporation, overseeing Asia sourcing for footwear, equipment, and packs, along with global material supply for apparel, footwear, and equipment. His extensive career also includes influential roles at Avery Denison, Adidas, and Gap, Inc.
Chris Hufnagel, Wolverine Worldwide’s President, and CEO expressed confidence in Jayaram’s ability to navigate complex supply chain landscapes. Hufnagel stated, «Bishu has a proven track record of successfully navigating complex supply chain landscapes and implementing innovative strategies.»
In parallel, Wolverine Worldwide announced the transition of Jim Zwiers, Executive Vice President and President of the Global Operations Group, away from the company in early 2024. Zwiers, a 25-year veteran, held various pivotal roles within the company.
This executive reshuffling follows Wolverine’s recent strategic move to streamline operations, selling its Saucony and Merrell operations in China to local distributor Xtep.
Wolverine World Wide positions itself for growth and operational efficiency with these strategic appointments and organizational changes.
