Former Credit Suisse CEO Tidjane Thiam has stepped down from the board of Kering SA in France to prioritize his political commitment in the Ivory Coast. Thiam, who recently secured a leadership position in the Democratic Party of Ivory Coast, aims to contribute to the nation’s political landscape. The party, which had a significant historical presence, has been out of power since 1999.
Thiam, an independent director at Kering since June 2020, has made this decision to fully engage in his new political role.
