This season’s event shines a spotlight on Taiwan’s streetwear scene, celebrating the creative diversity and cultural dynamism of the younger generation.
Participating brands, including (A)crypsis, 67Arrow, ANoWhereMan, Just In XX, Plateau Studio, and oqLiq, ushered in the event with a burst of innovative energy. Notably, (A)crypsis and 67Arrow broke from tradition, opting for an exhilarating dance battle instead of the conventional runway, with dancers donning their respective brand’s designs.
Just In XX embraced an experimental approach by weaving AI-generated characters into the storyline of their presentation. Plateau Studio, renowned for its avant-garde three-dimensional cuts and streetwear prints, collaborated with graffiti artist Reach to craft live street art. OqLiq explored the world of comics, partnering with a 3D animation artist and a cartoonist to seamlessly integrate comic elements into streetwear fashion.
ANoWhereMan captured the essence of rock music and merged it with contemporary elements, employing innovative materials and shapes to create a unique retro youth style.
Taipei Fashion Week, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, promises to continue delivering a cultural and fashion fusion extravaganza until October 22.
