Saks Fifth Avenue, the renowned luxury retailer, has unveiled an exclusive Saks Fifth Avenue-branded merchandise collection to commemorate World Mental Health Day. This initiative goes beyond fashion; it’s a commitment to making a significant impact.
As a part of this compassionate endeavor, Saks has pledged to donate a minimum of 50% of the purchase price from each item in this collection to the Saks Fifth Avenue Foundation. Every purchase becomes a symbol of support for vital mental health causes.
The collection features a diverse range of high-quality products, including cozy wool and cashmere hats, gloves, and blankets, as well as comfortable 100% cotton tees, snug fleece-lined hoodies, and soothing sleepwear. All these items are proudly crafted in Italy and proudly display the iconic Saks Fifth Avenue logo. With inclusivity as a central theme, the collection offers apparel sizing from XS to XXXL, ensuring that everyone can find something they love.
Marc Metrick, CEO of Saks and Vice President of the Saks Fifth Avenue Foundation board, stressed the urgent need to expand access to high-quality mental health care, especially in vulnerable communities. He emphasized, «We are unwavering in our commitment to advancing our Foundation’s mission of prioritizing mental health in all communities. Through our local mental health program grants initiative, we can invest in grassroots nonprofits nationwide, where our impact can be truly transformative. With the launch of our branded merchandise collection, we are delighted to provide our customers with an opportunity to support our Foundation’s remarkable work.»
In addition to the collection, the Saks Fifth Avenue Foundation has announced the recipients of its second annual grant program. This program is designed to support local mental health non-profit organizations that serve marginalized communities and underserved populations. With a strong focus on grassroots initiatives, the program has allocated a total of $250,000 in grants to ten non-profit organizations.
The 2023 grantees of the Saks Fifth Avenue Foundation’s local mental health program grants initiative include notable organizations such as Black Mental Health Village, The Bowery Mission, Centro Sanar, Coffee, Hip-Hop & Mental Health, Hetrick-Martin Institute, Junior’s House, Inc., Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington, New York Urban League, Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center, and The Safe Sisters Circle.
Since 2017, the Foundation has invested nearly $7 million in U.S. mental health programs, impacting the lives of almost 12 million individuals. Saks Fifth Avenue continues to lead the way in supporting mental health initiatives, creating a tangible difference in communities across the nation.
