In a monumental leap, leading value lifestyle and fashion retail giant Primark proudly announces the grand opening of its 60th store in Spain. This remarkable achievement is marked by the inauguration of a €6 million establishment nestled in the historic town of Lorca.
As part of Primark’s ambitious commitment to fortify its footprint in Spain, the company is investing a substantial €100 million in its Spanish operations. This comprehensive plan includes a €80 million allocation for the launch of eight new stores and one extension, coupled with an additional €20 million earmarked for extensive store refurbishments.
Lorca joins the prestigious list as the fourth new store to open, following the successful launches of Toledo Luz del Tajo in April, Open Mall Lanzarote in June, and Melilla in September. Notably, the recent extension of the Diagonal Mar store in October further bolstered Primark’s strategic expansion.
Looking ahead, Primark’s expansion blueprint continues with the planned opening of four additional stores in the upcoming year. These include locations in Jaén Plaza and three in the broader Madrid areas of La Vaguada, Alcalá Magna, and Calle del Conde de Peñalver.
This latest store opening solidifies Primark’s presence in all Autonomous Communities and the Autonomous City of Melilla, boasting a workforce of over 10,000 employees operating from its regional office on Madrid’s Gran Via.
Carlos Inacio, General Director of Primark in Spain, expresses enthusiasm about this milestone, stating, «This very exciting achievement reflects Primark’s unwavering dedication to growth in the Spanish market, increasing our number of stores, reaching more customers throughout the country, and creating job opportunities.»
As Primark continues its upward trajectory in Spain, this milestone not only signifies robust growth but also underscores the brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional value and opportunities to its expanding customer base.
