Mytheresa, the globally renowned luxury e-commerce platform, has raised the bar with the inauguration of its cutting-edge distribution center at Halle/Leipzig Airport in Germany, a strategic collaboration with DHL.
Spanning an impressive 55,000 square meters, this state-of-the-art distribution hub, in synergy with Mytheresa’s existing Munich facility, marks a pivotal step to enhance the company’s capabilities, solidifying its role as a dominant global leader in luxury e-commerce. A standout feature is the inclusion of a 1,300 square meter digital production studio, meticulously curated to showcase the finest luxury collections.
«Mytheresa’s new distribution center at Leipzig airport lays the groundwork for multi-year growth and expanded services, perfectly aligned with our strategic vision, cementing our status as a global luxury leader,» declared Mytheresa CEO, Michael Kliger.
Strategically positioned in close proximity to the Cargo Airport, the center promises to significantly elevate Mytheresa’s global competitiveness and growth potential, ensuring streamlined international shipping and expedited deliveries.
In addition, the strategic partnership between Mytheresa and DHL Express guarantees the shipping of a minimum of 20% of all orders one day in advance. The process of returns has also been streamlined, with DHL ensuring efficient delivery to Mytheresa’s distribution center. Customers can now enjoy same-day delivery to Munich and next-day delivery to a multitude of German cities and most European destinations.
Sebastian Dietzmann, Mytheresa COO, emphasized, «Our ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experience is reflected in the new facility. Situated in direct adjacency to the international air freight hub of DHL, it not only elevates our service quality but also accommodates our business’s future growth. We are focused on enhancing speed, flexibility, and cost-efficiency, positioning Mytheresa for operational excellence.»
To celebrate the center’s launch, Mytheresa has already hired over 270 employees, with plans to create more than 1,000 job opportunities at this location by 2030.
