Marks & Spencer (M&S) is embarking on an ambitious expansion plan for its premium Jaeger brand by introducing the acclaimed women’s fashion label to an additional 20 stores across the United Kingdom.
Commencing next month, shoppers can explore Jaeger collections in nine additional M&S locations, with an additional 11 stores set to join in the new year, elevating the total count to 46 UK stores. Notably, these new additions include locations where Jaeger had a strong presence in the past, such as Exeter and Guildford, as reported by the financial website ThisIsMoney.
Suzi Avens, Head of Product for Jaeger, expressed, «This year, our dedicated efforts have focused on repositioning Jaeger as a stylish and upscale independent brand.»
M&S is placing substantial emphasis on Jaeger’s role in its bold fashion growth strategy. The retailer acquired Jaeger in early 2021, rescuing the brand from administration, and since then, Managing Director Richard Price has been driving the acceleration of Jaeger’s growth plans.
In tandem with the expansion of Jaeger, M&S has been swiftly broadening its portfolio of third-party fashion brands. This includes well-known names like White Stuff, FatFace, and more recently, Pour Moi and Regatta Great Outdoors, all featured on its ‘Brands at M&S’ platform.
According to reports, M&S is strategically working toward increasing the number of third-party brands it offers to a total of 100. This strategic move is expected to have a significant positive impact on overall sales.
