Mr Porter and 66°North’s Exclusive Winter Collaboration Inspired by Icelandic Nature

Mr Porter, the luxury menswear destination, and Icelandic outerwear brand 66°North have embarked on their first-ever collaboration, introducing an exclusive and limited-edition capsule collection inspired by the awe-inspiring Icelandic landscape.

Debuting on the Mr Porter platform, following the launch of 66°North’s mainline collection, this four-piece capsule encompasses two exceptional outerwear styles and two unique accessories.

A standout piece within this collection is the iconic Dyngja puffer jacket from 66°North, originally introduced in 2005 and revered as one of the brand’s timeless classics. Accompanying this jacket is a vest adorned with an alluring print, drawing its vibrant colors from the enchanting ‘Skófir’ moss.

This captivating print is a result of photographs taken during a research expedition in Iceland, where the design team delved into the country’s remarkable landscapes.

Each Dyngja AOP style is a one-of-a-kind creation, with the pattern falling uniquely on each piece, resulting in a completely individual product each time.

The jacket’s outer layer is crafted from recycled polyester, while the insulation comprises a blend of recycled goose and duck white down, thoughtfully sourced from used clothing and bedding.

Kei Toyoshima, Creative Director for 66°North, shares, «Inspired by the moss-covered stretches of Iceland, we crafted a garment merging nature with its people.»

Completing this exclusive capsule, 66°North has reimagined its core backpack and belt-bag styles in an exclusive ‘Glacial Clay’ colorway, paying homage to the dominant glaciers that grace many parts of Iceland’s landscape.

These styles are crafted using leftover PU rainproof material from previous seasons’ bags, incorporating reflective details and coated waterproof fabric, paying tribute to the brand’s fisherman heritage.

This exclusive collection is now available on Mr Porter, with prices ranging from £55 to £435.
