Discover the highlights of the recently concluded 21st edition of the MarediModa trade show, held from November 7-9 at Cannes’ Palais des Festivals in France. Despite the evolving landscape of international trade fairs, MarediModa stood strong, welcoming visitors and exhibitors in numbers comparable to its previous edition. Notably, there was a significant uptick in attendance from buyers in the USA, Latin America, and northern Europe, signaling positive momentum for the event.
With over 110 European exhibitors in the spotlight, the event showcased eagerly awaited summer 2025 collections of fabrics and accessories tailored for premium beachwear, lingerie, and athleisure. Claudio Taiana, President of MarediModa, emphasized the event’s commitment to being a benchmark for the high-end swimwear, underwear, and athleisure sectors.

The Lycra Company, a global leader in innovative and sustainable fiber and technology solutions, continued its partnership with MarediModa. At the forefront of innovation, the company introduced two groundbreaking fibers, Adaptiv Black and Adaptiv Xtra-life, during the event. Alistair Williamson, Vice President EMEA & South Asia Apparel at The Lycra Company, discussed the company’s future goals, sustainability initiatives under the ‘Planet Agenda,’ and dedication to fostering a more sustainable supply chain.
Italian fabric producers Carvico and Jersey Lomellina took the spotlight with a successful evening event in collaboration with The Lycra Company. The event unveiled their new brand identities, revamped corporate image, and repositioning and rebranding strategies. The fabric collections by Carvico and Jersey Lomellina showcased The Lycra Company’s latest technology.
The event’s trend area, expertly presented by David Shah, spotlighted key summer 2025 trends. MarediModa also celebrated emerging talents at the award ceremony and runway show for The Link competition. Fashion students Monika Luczak, Iulia Anton, and Laurine Achoui claimed victory in the Underwear, Athleisure, and Beachwear categories, respectively.
MarediModa, true to its commitment to inspiring designers, featured exhibitions, installations, and digital tools, including Athleisyou and Flash!, a collaborative project with ISGMD.
