French fashion brand Maje has joined forces with Archive to unveil its much-anticipated resale platform in the United States.
Introducing ‘Maje Secondhand,’ this in-house peer-to-peer resale platform empowers customers to list their cherished Maje pieces alongside previous seasons’ fashion, creating an exciting shopping experience for others. Customers have the option to receive either Maje credit for online purchases or cash in exchange for their archived fashion items.
The official launch date for the resale site is set for October 16.
As a brand under the SMCP umbrella, Maje is taking a step further by offering a curated selection of pre-loved clothing at its flagship store in the heart of New York City for a limited time, as part of this groundbreaking program.
Paul Griffin, CEO and President of SMCP North America, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are delighted to introduce Maje Secondhand in the United States, following the successful European launch last year. This initiative follows closely on the heels of Maje Forward, our innovative rental platform, and the global traceability program, Fairly Made. Circular fashion is deeply embedded in Maje’s DNA, and we eagerly anticipate Maje Secondhand becoming a hallmark of our ongoing commitment to a sustainable future.»
Archive, a cutting-edge resale technology firm launched in 2021, is the driving force behind this venture, enabling customizable business models that facilitate branded, profitable resale channels for fashion brands.
Emily Gittins, CEO and Co-founder of Archive, expressed her pride, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce Maje Secondhand in the United States, both online and in-store. Our technology empowers brands to tailor their Secondhand programs, continually offering fresh recommerce experiences for their customers. We are particularly excited that Maje is making select pre-loved items available at their flagship store in New York City for the first time this month.»
