In a dazzling showcase on January 3, Louis Vuitton introduced its latest pop-up store in Los Angeles, featuring the highly anticipated Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection. The star-studded event saw the attendance of renowned figures like actors Jaden Smith, Dylan Sprouse, Barry Keoghan, and Steven Yeun.
This unveiling is part of a global initiative, with over 50 destinations, including prominent locations like West Hollywood and New York, hosting store concept activations for the U.S. market.
Nestled at 8,800 Melrose Avenue, the former John Varvatos store underwent a transformative metamorphosis, paying homage to the iconic Pont Neuf bridge in Paris—a theme reminiscent of Pharrell Williams’ landmark show last June. The interiors, adorned in opulent gold, showcase Parisian-style street lamps and architectural molding inspired by the renowned bridge. The checkered floor, reminiscent of the classic Damier pattern, adds a touch of the maison’s 19th-century heritage, cleverly reinterpreted throughout the SS24 collection.
A highlight of the pop-up is a clandestine room concealed behind a colossal bookcase, accessible only by pulling the right volume. Inside, vibrant Speedy leather bags appear to levitate in the darkness, individually illuminated by spotlights. The reimagined Speedy, dating back to 1930, takes center stage as an iconic piece of the SS24 collection.
Alongside the Speedy, the presentation showcases signature leather goods like Horizon luggage, Keepalls, Trail Backpacks, and Soft Trunks, featuring styles originating from the collection, including Damoflage and LV Blason.
The ready-to-wear pieces draw inspiration from a myriad of references, from sports to suiting. Collaborations with Los Angeles-based artist Henry Taylor result in miniaturized versions of the artist’s portraits replicated in embroidery, adding a unique artistic touch to the collection.
Footwear enthusiasts will find a curated selection, including the LV Trainer, Palace Slipper, and Footprint Low Boot. The extensive accessories offering includes belts, hats, jewelry, and sunglasses. Exceptional pieces like the crystal and pearl-embroidered Speedy 40 Black Tie and the LV Blason Rolling Truck elevate the presentation with a touch of luxury.
The West Hollywood location opens its doors to the public from January 4 through mid-March, with the second drop scheduled for February 8. This exclusive west coast Louis Vuitton pop-up serves as the ultimate destination for enthusiasts of the men’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
Launching globally from January 4, these pop-up installations evolve from the men’s creative director’s inaugural show, inviting clients to immerse themselves in the multi-sensorial universe inspired by the SS24 collection.
