Laetitia Toupet, who has served as the Global Brand President of La Roche-Posay, one of L’Oréal’s flagship brands in the dermatological beauty division for the past eight years, is set to take on a new role as the Global Brand General Manager for the dermatological beauty division. This division encompasses renowned brands such as CeraVe, Vichy, Skin Ceuticals, Skinbetter Science, and La Roche-Posay.
With a career at the global beauty giant that began in 1998 within the marketing department of L’Oréal Paris, Laetitia Toupet brings a wealth of experience to her new position.
The dermatological beauty division, formerly known as «active cosmetics,» has seen several management changes. In September, Philippe Mottard, who previously oversaw the division for Spain and Portugal, assumed leadership for the French market. This transition was followed by the appointment of Rocío Valenzuela to fill Philippe Mottard’s previous role.
In addition to the management reshuffle, the division is actively reviewing its brand portfolio. L’Oréal recently completed the sale of the organic cosmetics brand Sanoflore to Ekkio Capital, a French investment fund specializing in SMEs in the health and beauty sector, along with Sergio Calandri. This strategic move is geared toward enhancing the division’s business model, emphasizing the internationalization of complementary dermatological brands prescribed by healthcare professionals.
In 2022, the dermatological beauty division achieved remarkable sales of €5.1 billion, marking an impressive 30.6% increase.
Furthermore, Alexandra Reni-Catherine has taken on the role of Global Brand General Manager for La Roche-Posay, a brand with annual sales exceeding €1 billion. Alexandra Reni-Catherine had previously held the position of Global Brand President for Takami, a Japanese skincare brand acquired by L’Oréal in 2020.
