In a recent development, Fursac undergoes a leadership transition with the departure of managing director Jérémie Le Febvre at the end of 2023. As part of the SMCP group, Fursac, renowned for its French ready-to-wear collections, had enlisted Le Febvre in spring 2023, but the collaboration proved to be less than ideal, given his prior roles at A-Cold-Wall and French brand AMI.
Confirmation of Le Febvre’s exit came in response to inquiries by FashionNetwork.com, prompting the SMCP group to unveil the new organizational structure at Fursac.
Stepping into the role of interim CEO is Isabelle Guichot, CEO of SMCP, supported by Ilan Chetrite, founder of Sandro Homme. The French luxury group underscores the commitment of Fursac teams, alongside creative director Gauthier Borsarello, to ensure the brand’s seamless progression. This includes key milestones such as the Fashion Week presentation on January 18 and the ongoing international expansion in Korea.
Established in 1973 by Simon and Bertrand Lauder, Fursac became part of the SMCP group’s portfolio in 2019. Despite the leadership transition, the brand reported sales exceeding 40 million last year, with approximately 70 points of sale. The SMCP group, housing prestigious brands like Sandro, Maje, and Claudie Pierlot, is poised to surpass 1.2 billion in sales by 2022.
