The Galician menswear brand Florentino will complete its 2022 expansion plan in September with the opening of three stores in the cities of Gijón, Figueres and Soria. These openings will be added to the two boutiques opened during the first half of the year, located in Lleida and A Coruña.
The three brand new establishments will be similar in surface area, with approximately 80 square meters, and will be located in very commercial areas.
The Gijón store will be located on Menéndez Valdés street, the Figueres store on Peralada street and the Soria store on Aguirre street, according to a press release from the brand.
Thus, the brand will reach 50 points of sale in Spain, including stores and corners in El Corte Inglés. It should be noted that Florentino also operates its own online platform and is present in the marketplaces of El Corte Inglés and Zalando.
«The company faces the future with the forecast to exceed pre-pandemic sales by far in 2023,» the document stated, so it seems that Florentino leaves behind the impact of the health crisis, for which it had to apply an ERE to a hundred workers in the summer of 2020.
The company also specified that it has «successfully» completed its change of distribution model. In this way, it went from 90% multi-brand copying in 2014 to the same percentage but in own distribution at present. The company also confirmed the successful replacement of its founder, Florentino Cacheda López, by his son Florentino Cacheda Pampín, announced at the end of 2021.
The firm, founded in 1963 and based in Lalín (Pontevedra), is an expert in tailoring, as well as casualwear, footwear and accessories. The brand mixes avant-garde and tradition and expects to celebrate its 60th anniversary next year in style. Internationally, it has a presence in Lebanon.
