Fashion and gastronomy pairing in a new edition of Fashion & Cook

Gastronomy and fashion will once again come together in the new edition of Cook & Fashion, in which nine chefs will pair their dishes with nine creations by nine designers in an event that will take place on June 2 at the San Telmo Museum in San Sebastian.

 

Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Devota & Lomba, María Lafuente, Andrés Sarda, Malne, Raquel Balencia, Oihana Hernáiz, Eñaut Barruetabeña and Yolanda García will transfer their designs to the chefs for them to translate them into dishes.

Elena Arzak, Paul Arrillaga (Zazpi STM), Ismael Iglesias (Rita y Gaia), Amaia Ortuzar (Ganbara), Anouck & Joris (La Maison Blance aux Volets Bleus), Unai Paulis and Mateus Mendes (Maun Grill) Scott Serrato (Chez Scott), Cristina Oria, and David Rodríguez (Danako) who will prepare a dish with the journalist Julián Iantzi, for his participation in MasterChef Celebrity 6.

The event will consist of a parade in which the nine designs will be presented accompanied by their corresponding dishes, which will be miniature cuisine, which attendees will be able to taste.

An invitation is required to attend the dinner, although the organizers plan to hold a raffle for tickets.

The initiative was presented this Wednesday at an event held at the San Martin Market in San Sebastian by the mayor of the city, Eneko Goia, the director of Tourism of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, Iker Goiria, and the director of Cook & Fashion, Mario Vera.

The aim of Cook & Fashion, which since its creation in San Sebastian in 2004 has held editions in Paris, Madrid and Brussels, is the promotion of Gipuzkoa and its professionals in the fields of gastronomy and fashion, said Vera.

In addition to the dinner Cook & Fashion has organized the Pintxo Week between May 30 and June 5 in which eleven Gipuzkoan establishments will be inspired by a look of the designer Raquel Balencia Donostian designer to make a replica in the form of pintxo to offer in their premises.

The participants are Baluarte, Bergara, Gaia, La Cervecería del Antiguo, Maun Grill, Rita, Sukaldean Aitor Santamaria and Casa Urola as well as Baratze, from Eibar, Danako, from Irun, and Frontón, from Tolosa.
