Adidas Originals and Moncler have joined forces to unveil an extraordinary collection that redefines the boundaries of co-creation, seamlessly blending mountain exploration with urban fashion. This innovative collaboration promises to take your fashion journey to new heights.
Titled ‘The Art of Explorers,’ this campaign centers around the spirit of adventure. Both brands, deeply committed to human endeavor, pay homage to the explorer as a symbol of their shared ideals. The campaign commences with a series of AI-generated adventurers, followed by a collection of captivating mixed-media sculptures inspired by this unique collaboration.
Building on the initial reveal at London Fashion Week’s ‘The Art of Genius’ show in February, an array of artists spanning various creative disciplines, from sculpture to costume and makeup design, were tasked with bringing lifelike explorer figures to life, each drawing inspiration from this exceptional collection. The sculptural works of acclaimed artists such as Gary Card, Ibby Njoya, and Kate Tabor, alongside real-life explorers styled by Ai Kamoshita, and adorned with makeup and accessories by Isamaya Ffrench, were brilliantly captured by photographer Hanna Moon.
This new collection presents a sartorial journey from mountain summits to bustling city streets. It features an impressive range of puffer jackets, including long and short variations, as well as stylish track jackets and vests that harmoniously blend the distinctive identities of Moncler and Adidas Originals. Iconic Moncler shapes in lacquered nylon undergo a transformative Adidas Originals touch with adi-break panelling. The color palette dazzles with vibrant shades reminiscent of traffic lights, transitioning from lush greens and fiery oranges to bold reds, before merging into the urban landscape with concrete gray and sky blue hues, culminating in off-white and organic dark greens. Intricate quilting, captivating jacquards, and innovative prints take cues from the mesmerizing patterns etched by skiers on snow-covered slopes.
The collection also introduces daring footwear options. The NMD receives a Moncler-inspired winter makeover, featuring weather-ready Gore-Tex and plush bubble padding. The iconic Campus sneaker is reimagined with bubble padding, infusing it with a distinctive Moncler aesthetic. This collection represents the perfect fusion of form and function, seamlessly integrating the outdoor allure of mountain life with the bustling energy of city streets, offering a captivating intersection of worlds designed for exploration.
