For almost a decade, Etudes Studio has been a prominent presence on the Parisian runways. However, the creative trio behind the label, Aurélien Arbet, Jérémie Égry, and José Lamali, also the masterminds behind Aigle specializing in boots and outerwear, are embarking on a temporary hiatus. This break signals the onset of a fresh strategy.
While the Fall/Winter 2024-25 collection will be privately showcased in a showroom, it won’t take the customary spotlight on the runway. During this transitional phase, the designers at Etudes will be dedicating their efforts to an innovative project. This initiative underscores the brand’s commitment to pioneering creative approaches, emphasizing introspection and presenting unique perspectives, as per the brand’s press release.
The decision ushers in a new era for Etudes, promising significant transformations unfolding throughout 2024. Collection N°24 is poised to symbolize a major milestone, akin to the striking of midnight on a clock, heralding an unprecedented day. Etudes, while keeping details under wraps, confirms its intent to return to the Parisian runways in June.
Evidently, the primary objective is to evolve the brand and its business model.
«We’re leveraging the new year and the imminent Collection N°24 to start afresh. 2024 marks a new beginning. In response to an ever-evolving world, we’ve chosen to meticulously prepare for this new year. 2024 is yet to be unveiled,» express the three designers.
Established in 2012 by a collective of three creatives and two operational experts, Etudes encompasses fashion under one banner, housing a creative studio and collections. Beginning with a focus on men’s clothing and later expanding to introduce women’s ready-to-wear in 2017, the brand also integrates editorial endeavors.
The house proudly features its boutique on rue Debelleyme in Paris, along with corners in Galeries Lafayette and China. Moreover, it is distributed through its e-shop and 120 multi-brand retailers across 20 countries.
