01What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) work the same way and are covered by this policy.

02Cookies we use

• Strictly necessary — keep the site working and secure: logging in to your account or creator page, remembering your choices, spam protection on forms (Akismet) and performance caching. These do not need consent.
• Analytics — Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) helps us understand how many people visit and which pages they read. These cookies (for example _ga, _ga_*) are only used if you accept them.
• Fonts and media — fonts are served from our own server; images are served from our own servers. They do not set advertising cookies.

03Third parties

When you buy an issue you are taken to MagCloud, and when you submit work you are taken to Kavyar. Those sites use their own cookies under their own policies. Links to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, X or WhatsApp only open those services when you click them.

04How long they last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Analytics cookies last up to 2 years. Log-in cookies last up to 14 days if you choose “remember me”.

05Your choices

You can accept or reject analytics cookies at any time from the cookie banner, and you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as logging in, from working.
