Condé Nast strengthens its management structure with the incorporation of Carmen Mañana as the new editorial manager of Glamour Spain. This is a newly created position from which the journalist will work closely with Deborah Joseph, European editorial director of the publication.
Holding the position of Head of editorial content, Carmen Mañana «will oversee the editorial operations, strategy and vision of Glamour in the Spanish market, working closely with the editorial leadership team of the brand,» as reported by the Condé Nast group through a statement.
Mañana has a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and has developed the bulk of his career in the newspaper El País, where he served to date as editor specializing in fashion and fashion and lifestyle coordinator of El País Semanal.
Her incorporation to Glamour Spain is part of the execution of the publication’s global editorial strategy, which seeks to bring its content «to a new audience across all its platforms.»
«Her journalistic talent, as well as her influence and knowledge of the industry, will be of enormous value in the new stage, in which we will redouble the brand’s presence in Spain, a boost that coincides this year with the celebration of its 20th anniversary,» in the words of Deborah Joseph.
Launched in 2002, the Spanish edition of the publication places the country as «one of the markets with the highest traffic of Glamour worldwide,» according to the statement released by the publishing group, which includes other titles such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, AD, GQ and Condé Nast Traveler.
