Italian luxury label Alanui, a part of the esteemed New Guards Group (with brands like Palm Angels, Opening Ceremony, and Ambush), is venturing into new territory with the launch of Alanui Finest. This exquisite line marks a departure from Alanui’s iconic oversized, intricately adorned jacquard cardigans, embracing a high-end, minimalistic approach with a blend of cashmere and silk.
This debut collection for both men and women perfectly captures the prevailing atmosphere of subtle luxury gracing the runways this season. Designed to stand the test of time, transcending seasonal trends, Alanui Finest offers a selection of essential knitwear pieces in versatile neutral shades, including gray, black, navy, and caramel. The collection showcases various knitting techniques, including rib knit. It features a meticulously curated range, comprising a sweater, a jacket-cardigan, a coat-bathrobe, and a pair of tasseled trousers. Prices range from €1,300 to €4,250. Complementing the collection are accessories like hats, gloves, and a wool scarf, with prices ranging from €350 to €1,050.
Carlotta Oddi, Alanui’s creative director and co-founder of the label alongside her brother Nicolò in 2016, highlighted the brand’s creative vision, stating, «With this new collection, we aimed to expand our range with unwavering attention to artisanal craftsmanship. We pushed our limits and those of our artisans, exploring innovative techniques, with a focus on precious and distinctive yarns, stitches, and fits to create knitwear masterpieces akin to couture.»
Alanui Finest’s inaugural collection is set for Fall/Winter 2023-24, with promises of more to come in subsequent seasons. The collection is now available for purchase on Alanui’s e-shop and select multi-brand retailers.
From its beginnings as a single-product label, renowned for its iconic jacket-cardigan, Alanui has steadily broadened its horizons, encompassing various fashion categories. In addition to its knitwear and clothing lines, the brand has introduced accessories, a children’s line, a home decoration collection featuring throws, cushions, and rugs, and, most recently, an eyewear line in collaboration with Californian brand Jacques Marie Mage, launched this summer.
