In addition to the nano masks, Cheng’s group is doubling its production of medical-grade surgical masks, with the goal of reaching 5.5 million adult masks and 1.7 million kids’ masks per month by June.
The 1.5 million masks donated to Europe are being coordinated with the help of UK, French, and Italian embassies, and will be delivered to hospitals and NGOs. Despite Hong Kong’s relatively low number of COVID-19 cases, Cheng’s K11 Musea complex has remained open, offering outdoor events and space for social distancing.
