Adidas has unveiled its inaugural Web3-driven digital artist residency program, known as ‘Residency by Adidas.’ This initiative offers digital artists worldwide the opportunity to showcase their work and collaborate with the brand on both digital and physical projects. Spearheaded by the Three Stripes Studio, which focuses on Adidas’s Web3 endeavors, the program is set to launch globally on September 7 during Korean Blockchain Week in Seoul.
The first participating artists in the residency include MonkeeMoto from Tokyo and Adra Kandi, also known as Dear Nostalgia, from Lebanon. Each artist will release a limited edition NFT drop, with only 100 pieces available per artist, priced at 0.15 ETH and exclusively accessible to attendees of the Seoul event.
Stacey King, Global Head of Communications and Activation for the Adidas /// Studio, emphasized that this project marks a significant move for the Studio as it expands its presence and value within the Web3 community. Adidas aims to continue exploring, experimenting, and strengthening its presence in the Web3 space, building upon its existing efforts and community engagement.
The ‘Residency by Adidas’ program signifies the brand’s commitment to embracing Web3 technology and fostering collaboration with emerging digital artists on a global scale.
