Arc’teryx, the renowned Canadian high-performance outdoor apparel and accessories brand, is gearing up for a major expansion in London’s Covent Garden. The brand is set to significantly upsize its presence compared to its initial unit in the area.
Scheduled to open in early 20XX, the brand-new King Street flagship store will encompass a substantial 8,000 square feet of prime retail space. This expansion marks a remarkable 400% increase in retail footprint. Nestled among illustrious neighbors like Glossier, Apple, Aēsop, and the iconic Covent Garden Piazza, the new Arc’teryx store will offer an extensive collection, showcasing their full range of technical gear, footwear, and accessories tailored for a wide array of outdoor sports, including mountaineering, climbing, hiking, skiing, and more.
Simultaneously, the decision to expand in Covent Garden underscores Arc’teryx’s unwavering commitment to the destination. Property owner and landlord, Shaftesbury Capital, celebrates this move as a testament to Covent Garden’s prowess in attracting top-quality retailers.
The new store will mirror Arc’teryx’s current retail format and design. The nearby Long Acre store will continue operations until early 20XX.
Arc’teryx, recognized for its expertise in crafting durable, high-quality products, initially made its mark in Covent Garden two years ago, introducing its European concept and showcasing its most celebrated designs to visitors.
Sven Radtke, EMEA General Manager, shared, “Since our initial opening two years ago, we’ve witnessed remarkable success. With the larger store, we aim to provide an elevated brand experience to our guests. In this strategic London location, the new store will not only feature an expanded product range but also introduce our community to additional services, including ReBird, our circularity program focused on product care, repair, and upcycling.
