Explore the future of fashion with Vivienne Westwood’s SS24 campaign, unveiling a collection that breathes new life into Dame Vivienne’s iconic wardrobe spanning four decades. This campaign presents a timeless reinterpretation, where classic silhouettes are thoughtfully revisited and artfully remade.
Fronting this captivating campaign are legendary supermodels Naomi Campbell and Penelope Tree, joined by Xavier Morales, Lux Gillespie, Vincent Rockins, and visionary designer Andreas Kronthaler. The inclusion of 74-year-old 1960s supermodel Penelope Tree adds a touch of enduring elegance to the visual narrative.
Adding an avant-garde twist to the campaign, still-life elements come to life in the unexpected setting of the Proportion London mannequin factory. This unconventional backdrop not only adds a unique visual dimension but also aligns seamlessly with the theme of reimagining and recreating fashion narratives.
Andreas Kronthaler sheds light on the creative process, stating, “It seemed the best way to show off Vivienne’s reimagined wardrobe. Display dummies came to mind, and we checked out factories where they are made. We found one of the last remaining in England in the far east of London, we put together a cast and went there to shoot the new campaign.”
The factory setting provides a distinctive canvas for the campaign, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the art of fashion creation. The collaboration is a synergy of vision, with stylist Sabina Schreder curating the looks, Juergen Teller capturing the essence through the lens, and Dovile Drizyte serving as the creative partner.
This SS24 campaign not only pays homage to Vivienne Westwood’s design legacy but also pushes the boundaries of fashion storytelling. Immerse yourself in a fusion of history, art, and boundless creativity that defines the brand’s trajectory into the future.
