ACME, the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España, together with Gran Canaria Moda Cálida and Moda-Fad are the three Spanish entities that are among the driving forces behind the European Fashion Alliance (EFA), a network of industry organizations that aims to «unify and change the fashion landscape in Europe».
Emerged during a summit held in Frankfurt (Germany) last March, where the Fashion Council Germany brought together leading European industry organizations «to form a coalition of change», this alliance is made up of 25 European associations and will hold its next meeting during the Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida, which will take place on the Canary Island from October 18 to 21, 2022.«The alliance has been created in order to achieve a common vision on the objectives related to how the fashion industry and its multiple actors (organizations, SMEs, large companies and all professionals) can collectively help transform the industry to better protect the planet and all its inhabitants,» explained in a statement from the European Fashion Alliance.
«European fashion organizations, representing an important and unique part of this sector, seek to strengthen the fashion industry in Europe in terms of sustainability, inclusiveness, innovation and promotion, as well as to streamline the process to turn these objectives into realistic actions and to elaborate recommendations for policy reforms,» they continue.
Other founding members of the network include the Fédération de la Haute Couture de la Mode de France, Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana and Modalisboa.
