LVMH continues to strengthen its association with elite athletes by welcoming French artistic gymnastics champion Mélanie de Jésus dos Santos into its prestigious lineup of brand ambassadors. This announcement follows LVMH’s recent signing of French swimmer Léon Marchand for Louis Vuitton, underscoring the conglomerate’s commitment to partnering with top athletes as the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games approach, with LVMH serving as a premium partner. LVMH proudly declares Mélanie de Jésus dos Santos as the official brand ambassador for Christian Dior.
This collaboration marks a reunion for Mélanie de Jésus dos Santos and Dior, as she had previously graced the luxury label’s campaigns and participated in an iconic photoshoot in April.
Born in Martinique, the 23-year-old de Jésus dos Santos boasts an impressive athletic resume, including four-time artistic gymnastics European champion accolades and a recent bronze team medal victory at the world gymnastics championships held in Antwerp, Belgium. Her remarkable achievement ended a 63-year wait for the French artistic gymnastics team.
In a press release, LVMH commends Mélanie de Jésus dos Santos for captivating the public and excelling in her discipline, attributing her success to her remarkable talent, unwavering determination, and extraordinary resilience. Notably, she was a finalist in the uneven bars competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Beginning her journey at the Saint-Etienne gymnastics center in France, she now trains alongside the US superstar Simone Biles in Houston.
LVMH officially announced its partnership with the Paris Olympics in July, just before publishing its H1 financial results. These results showcased a remarkable 30% rise in net income to €8.5 billion and a 15% growth in revenue, reaching €42.2 billion.
Through this partnership, led by Bernard Arnault’s group, LVMH aims to offer direct support to exceptional athletes whose inspiring journeys epitomize the spirit of «Artisans of All Victories.»
