Antoine Arnault, Director of Image and Environment, sealed a pivotal deal with major UAE mall developers (Chalhoub Group, Emaar Malls, Majid Al Futtaim, Aldar Properties). The accord focuses on water conservation and waste management, aligning seamlessly with LVMH’s comprehensive environmental initiative, Life 360.
In another green initiative, LVMH disclosed a €1 million investment in a partnership with For Amazon Sustainability (FAS), targeting biodiversity projects in Brazil. The conglomerate aims to regenerate 5 million hectares of wildlife habitat globally, emphasizing a commitment to environmental preservation.
Arnault highlighted LVMH’s dedication to sustainability in the US, emphasizing a collaboration with the Miami Design District (MDD). This partnership will optimize the environmental performance of over 15 luxury brands renting commercial spaces in Miami Design District.
Further emphasizing its commitment to circular bioeconomy, LVMH showcased positive outcomes from its collaboration with Circular Bioeconomy Alliance (CBA). Results include the training of 500 farmers around Lake Chad and the Forest Stewardship Council certification of Berluti’s store at the Mall of Emirates.
Stella McCartney’s sustainable market pavilion took center stage, spotlighting regenerative cotton and innovative plant-based alternatives. This aligns with LVMH’s global objective to minimize environmental impact and regenerate habitats.
LVMH plans to unveil comprehensive results from its three-year environmental efforts at the upcoming Life 360 Summit in UNESCO, Paris.
