In a strategic move, Joe Browns, the Leeds-based fashion and homewares retailer, welcomes Michael Truluck as its new Chairman, effective immediately. Truluck, with an impressive leadership history, most recently served as CEO of La Redoute International. This marks his inaugural role as a company chairman, bringing a wealth of experience to drive Joe Browns’ expansion.
Truluck’s decision to join Joe Browns coincides with the brand’s ambitious growth phase, including plans to open 10 new stores by 2024. Notably, the company recently celebrated the successful launch of a franchisee-operated store in Bowness on Windermere during the summer.
As part of its growth strategy, Joe Browns completed a £2 million warehouse upgrade, reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence and capacity expansion. The brand also made a notable TV debut with compelling advertising for its Autumn/Winter 2023 and Christmas collections.
Truluck expressed his excitement about joining Joe Browns at a pivotal time, stating, «With a unique and confident approach to remarkable product across womenswear, menswear, and home, Joe Browns truly stands out in the market.» He looks forward to leveraging his expertise to ensure that Joe Browns becomes even more visible and beloved by customers through various channels, including stores, an enhanced online experience, and strategic partnerships.
Founder Simon Brown welcomed Truluck, noting, «I couldn’t be happier to have Michael join the Joe Browns family. His keen insight into our unique offering and shared excitement for our opportunities position him as a valuable addition to our journey.»
