Bruce Pask, a highly regarded fashion authority in the United States, received recognition from influential figures in the fashion industry.
Raffaele Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Imagine, lauded Pask’s presence at fashion events, highlighting that his attendance signified the right event. Prominent fashion personalities like Brunello Cucinelli, Massimiliano Giornetti, Claudio Marenzi, and Suzy Menkes were among those in attendance.
Pask’s illustrious career brought him to Pitti, where he first appeared 30 years ago as a young editor with GQ. Over the years, he returned approximately 50 times, establishing himself as a prominent fashion figure. He has worked for publications such as Cargo and the New York Times and, for the past eight years, as a retailer.
In his speech, Pask expressed his gratitude for his remarkable journey in the fashion industry, from growing up in a small town in Arizona to becoming a global fashion influencer. He currently serves as the men’s fashion director for both Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus, holding a significant role in menswear buying.
The ceremony took place on February 12, a date of significance as it marked the day of the legendary First Italian High Fashion Show in 1951, which played a pivotal role in Italy’s post-war fashion boom. Pask also mentioned his role as a visiting lecturer at Polimoda, a prestigious Florentine fashion college. He expressed his deep appreciation for the inspiration he draws from Florence’s designers, manufacturers, artisans, and tailors, emphasizing their contribution to his vision of menswear.
