Discover luxury redefined as Fendi debuts two groundbreaking collaborations in its Friends of Fendi series, joining forces with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment and the iconic Pokémon. Elevating the experience, Fendi introduces a limited-time pop-up at Selfridges, running until January 27, where enthusiasts can indulge in these unique fashion partnerships.
The collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment, a trailblazer in Japanese streetwear, showcases a meeting of creative minds. Kim Jones, Fendi’s Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear, expresses admiration for Fujiwara’s influence on Japan’s youth fashion. Silvia Venturini Fendi, Artistic Director of Accessories and Menswear, celebrates the fusion of Fendi’s iconic bag shapes with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s innovative touch, turning handbags into mini pop monuments.
In the Fendi x FRGMT collection, the disruptive FF Fragment transforms the iconic FF jacquard logo in institutional brown, tobacco, and a striking yellow version. This disruption is meticulously applied to women’s Peekaboo ISeeU Small and Baguette bags, mini pieces, Baguette Pouch, Mini Mon Trésor, a new foldable Baguette shopper, and a soft hobo bag. Men’s essentials, including a large messenger and a belt bag, showcase the FRGMT disruption with yellow contrast zips. The collaboration extends to a unisex white T-shirt adorned with a special Fendi x FRGMT logo.
In the Fendi x FRGMT x Pokémon collaboration, the Peekaboo and Baguette bags immerse into the whimsical world of Pokémon, particularly the dragon-type Pokémon, celebrating the Year of the Dragon. Inlays and prints on FF jacquard and canvas backings seamlessly integrate playful Pokémon elements. The collection features 3D leather marquetry of Dragonite and Dratini on Baguette and Mini Baguette bags, available in various sizes. Special Baguette designs showcase intricate micro beads FF embroidery with three Pokémon characters and fringes. A Peekaboo ISeeU Medium in shiny white croco is enriched with Dragonair and Dratini details on the metal handle and chain strap.
Beyond bags, the collaboration extends to jewellery, T-shirts, hoodies, silk FF pyjamas, and Dragonite key charms, offering a diverse range of fashion and accessories. The collaboration transcends into the digital realm, with Pokémon GO Trainers gaining access to exclusive digital avatar items inspired by the collection.
Embark on a journey of fashion and fantasy with Fendi’s latest collaborations, available at the Selfridges pop-up for a limited time.
