University of Arts and Design Cluj-Napoca: Collective Collection
The second day of Feeric Fashion Week explored socio-political issues through fashion, led by the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca. The group collection from the 2024 BA and MA graduates of the Fashion Department showcased modern sophistication, historical fashion references, couture constructions, and intricate embroideries. The designs combined contemporary influences with dynamic shapes and clear volumes, presented through capsule collections emphasizing sustainability and upcycling. Prototypes were crafted in the UADFASHION workshop.
For the materials used by MA graduates, all pieces were made from deadstock fabrics, provided through a sponsored partnership with the irina schrotter brand and her team.

The collaborative collection from Feeric Fashion Week’s latest edition beautifully intertwines the diverse creative visions of student designers. On one side, the university brand FASHIONxNBU employs distinct shapes, techniques, and silhouettes to evoke the gentle movement of sea waves.
ATELIER VÉREDIA draws inspiration from life’s experiences, depicting the challenges humans face and the choices we each must make. This concept is represented by satin ribbons symbolizing the decisions we encounter, while the consistent use of white in every outfit highlights the idea that we all begin life as equals.

Alexandra Țigăeru: «Two Worlds Collide»
Alexandra Țigăeru from the National University of Arts «George Enescu» Iași showcased the Two Worlds Collide collection, inspired by a compelling image discovered on social media. This image portrays two distinct types of artists, highlighting the contrasting styles in both their clothing and their artwork. This visual sparked a contemplation on a broader societal issue: the tendency to judge individuals based on their appearance and to assign labels accordingly. Additionally, the collection was influenced by Demi Lovato’s song Two Worlds Collide, further exploring the theme of duality and contrast.
Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad: «Myth. Fairy tale. Legend«
In the collection titled Myth. Fairy tale. Legend, students from Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad delved deeply into the significance and contemporary relevance of myths, fairy tales, and legends from diverse global cultures and folk traditions. Each designer infused the collection with their unique vision and creativity, bringing to life the distinctive aspects of these essential cultural narratives.
The garments in this collection capture special stories or distinct elements of mythology and folklore, portraying characters, symbols, and themes intrinsic to these genres. From mythical beings like the Master Bird and the Alkonost Bird to iconic tales such as the Golden Fish and the exodus of the Jews from Egypt, as well as figures like vampires, each piece offers a personal and imaginative interpretation of these timeless stories.

Ceban Laurenția: «House Shadows»
Representing Academy of Music, Theatre, and Fine Arts, Chișinău, Ceban Laurenția brought to the runway the House Shadows, a coat collection that seamlessly blends traditional and modern elements, fusing cultural symbols to bridge the gap between past and present. The ensemble draws inspiration from the migration patterns in the Republic of Moldova and their significant impact on society, particularly in rural areas. The pieces feature traditional techniques such as hand embroidery and felting, crafted from high-quality natural fabrics like wool. The designs reflect rural landscapes, depicting abandoned, neglected houses, while also celebrating the natural beauty of the countryside and the native village, emphasizing a deep connection to one’s roots.
Galala University: Collective Collection
At Galala University’s Textile & Apparel Design program, students gain hands-on experience with a wide array of techniques, from pattern making and drafting to weaving, knitting, and surface design. The curriculum also covers printing, dyeing, and accessories design. A strong emphasis is placed on sustainability, teaching students to use natural dyes, recycle, upcycle, and create fabrics from biowaste. Furthermore, the program explores historical fashion movements and encourages students to draw inspiration from a variety of sources, ensuring a well-rounded education in textile and apparel design.

In another exclusive venue, humanity and nature blend into a harmonious unity, in the collection entitled Illusion. The life of bees not only serves as an inspiration but also highlights a vital symbiotic relationship in which humans play a key role. The pieces capture the beauty and complexity of bees, underscoring the delicate balance and deep connection that exists between humans and these vital creatures. Dovilė Deveikytė: «Insidious»
The collection draws inspiration from the experiences of a girl living with schizophrenia and her emotional battle with her inner demons. These manifestations, though products of her mind, feel so real that they seem to be trying to break free from the confines of her own consciousness. Each garment in this collection serves as an expression of her struggle between her conflicted self and the tormenting visions, between the realms of reality and fantasy. Dovile represents Kauna College, Lithuania.
Olari Cezara: «Freedom in dream«
Inspired by dreams – the limitless realm where we can be our true selves – this collection signed by Olari Cezara features outfits crafted from cotton, viscose, and linen. Each garment is adorned with unevenly extended embroidery depicting symbolic dream scenes. The machine-made embroideries mimic various shapes and sizes, including linear, circular, elongated, and interrupted patterns. The collection aims to embody freedom in movement, thought, and the pursuit of one’s dreams, encouraging wearers to dream with open eyes.
