This event serves as a testament to the recognition of the next generation of beauty entrepreneurs, spotlighting a diverse group embodying creativity, vision, scientific innovation, and a commitment to societal impact. Shana Randhava, Senior Vice President of Estée Lauder Companies’ New Incubation Ventures, expresses excitement for the winners, stating, «This year’s winners represent an exciting mix of entrepreneurs, creative visionaries, innovative scientists, and impact-focused founders—a true representation of the larger beauty ecosystem with the qualities required for long-term success.»
Esteemed personalities, including Bollywood celebrity and Kay Beauty founder Katrina Kaif, UNDP ambassador Bhumi Pednekar, and designer-entrepreneur Masaba Gupta, formed the jury this season. The coveted $50,000 ‘Breakthrough Category’ prize for ‘Innovation in Active Ingredients Addressing Key Areas for the Indian Consumer’ went to Biome Laboratories, founded by Rhea Goenka, and Keva Fragrances, led by CEO Kedar Vaze and Chief Scientific Officer Avani Mainkar.
Director Priya Minhas claimed the $50,000 ‘Create Category’ prize for her film concept, ‘Honey and Mud.’ Additional honors included the ‘Community Prize’ for engagement and support, and the ‘Grow Prize’ for in-market business.
Anchit Nayar, Executive Director and CEO of Nykaa, expressed pride in supporting the award winners, stating, «This year’s Beauty & You award winners represent the best in innovative, consumer-first thinking that India has to offer.» Nayar emphasized Nykaa’s commitment to incubating the next generation of beauty entrepreneurs as a crucial aspect of their mission to democratize access to beauty for all.
Launched in July 2022, the Beauty & You initiative serves as a platform to discover and elevate emerging beauty entrepreneurs. Created by Estée Lauder Companies’ New Incubation Ventures and Nykaa, the initiative received over 600 entries from 150 cities, underscoring its success in fostering innovation and diversity within the beauty industry.
