French apparel brand Lacoste, a proud sponsor of Novak Djokovic, announced on Monday its intention to contact the world’s top-ranked men’s tennis player for a comprehensive review of recent events in Australia.
The prominent tennis star, who has opted against receiving the COVID-19 vaccination, was deported from Australia on Sunday, just before the start of the Australian Open, following an unsuccessful legal attempt to reverse the cancellation of his visa. Currently, Djokovic is back in his home country of Serbia, where he has received a warm welcome from his fans.
In an emailed statement, Lacoste expressed their commitment, stating, «We will promptly initiate communication with Novak Djokovic to thoroughly assess the circumstances surrounding his presence in Australia.»
