As the West End of London stages a remarkable comeback, Savile Row and its neighboring streets are introducing a range of new names just in time for the festive season. The Pollen Estate, the local landlord, has proudly announced the arrival of Pineider, Fedro Gaudenzi, Perfumer H, HAX, and Daniel Hanson to this iconic area.
This eclectic mix signals a departure from the traditional bespoke and made-to-order tailoring houses, expanding to include contemporary perfumery and handcrafted stationery. It’s a testament to the area’s evolution, showcasing not only established giants but also welcoming independent businesses.
Pineider, an Italian leather goods and stationery brand, has chosen 3 Clifford Street for its first flagship in the UK. With roots dating back to 1774 in Florence, Pineider introduces its luggage, smaller leather goods, notebooks, and pens to the discerning British consumers. Offering personalization on all items, the store also hosts regular calligraphy classes.
Fedro Gaudenzi, located at 34 Cork Street, stands out as a bespoke contemporary tailor, seamlessly blending Italian and British craftsmanship with innovative designs since its London launch in 2016.
Renowned British perfumer Lyn Harris brings her expertise to the forefront with Perfumer H, unveiling its flagship at 15A Clifford Street. The store, designed to evoke Georgian London’s 18th-century charm, presents fragrances, hand-blown creations by Michael Ruh, candles, incense, potpourri, and pantry products.
HAX, a made-to-order tailoring business founded by Hattie Glendenning in 2023, challenges traditional norms with an updated approach to custom clothing. Nestled at 15 Clifford Street, HAX employs Yorkshire-made fabrics and operates outside traditional tailoring boundaries.
Lastly, at 36 Savile Row, Daniel Hanson specializes in bespoke dressing gowns and loungewear, offering a limited selection of ready-to-wear items, all meticulously designed and manufactured in Nottingham.
This new wave of luxury boutiques reflects the evolving landscape of Savile Row, embracing both heritage and contemporary craftsmanship to cater to the diverse tastes of its discerning clientele.
