Blumarine, a prominent Italian fashion label, has announced a change in creative leadership as Nicola Brognano, the brand’s current creative director, and the company have mutually agreed to part ways. This development comes after a successful four-year collaboration.
Marco Marchi, the CEO of EIH, expressed his satisfaction with Nicola Brognano’s work during his tenure, highlighting Brognano’s ability to contemporize Blumarine’s essence in an original and compelling manner. This revitalized the brand and garnered renewed interest from both the fashion industry and customers. Marchi extended his warm appreciation to Brognano for his professionalism and contributions.
In response, Nicola Brognano shared his perspective on his role as the creative director at Blumarine, describing it as an enriching and unique experience. He expressed gratitude to Marco Marchi for the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the brand and commended his team’s extraordinary collaborative efforts.
Nicola Brognano, originally from Calabria, Italy, began his fashion journey with studies at the esteemed Istituto Marangoni. His distinct style and talent for interpreting contemporary fashion trends with a personal touch have set him apart in the industry. In 2016, he received recognition by winning the Who’s On Next? emerging designer competition. Notably, he also founded his own eponymous womenswear label in 2015, although this project was temporarily put on hold due to the challenges posed by the pandemic.
